How unstaking works
Deactivate an amount of active stake. This moves it to inactive stake; it does not withdraw funds.
Wait, then retire inactive stake when the protocol permits it. Validator status and protocol rules can affect eligibility.
Withdraw retired stake when allowed, to your own account through Pay. Pay may then move it into its funding HTLC.
No fixed unlock time or instant withdrawal is promised. Each step is a separate, explicit native transaction. Pay and the network validate timing, minimum balances and fees; nothing runs automatically.
